A New Chapter, Lets Call it Chapter 3

I started this blog to help find myself, and to heal the pains of loosing loved ones, not to earn page views, although those are nice, it is just not who I am. I have been finding that through, blogging and other mistakes that I am trying to prove something to anyone who will listen. Now that Thanksgiving has passed and I am starting to get into the Christmas spirit, also with the new church year, I have made Church New Year Resolutions:

  1. Be yourself
  2. Be gracious with what you have 
  3. Only do what makes you happy
  4. Be happy in the happiness in others
  5. Do on to others as you want done on to you
  6. Don't say anything that you wouldn't want said to you
  7. Bake for others
  8. Do a random act of kindness every other day
  9. Don't expect more from people, if you do this they wont give you their best
  10. Smile when you feel like you are going to cry
  11. Exercise to stay healthy, not to "perfect looks"
I did this for myself, and this is when I needed it the churches new year just came at the right time. I do believe in God, and that miracles do happen, just don't go looking for them. I don't need to prove anything to anyone, it just doesn't mater. We only have limited time on Earth and we are here to Learn, Be Happy, Help others be happy, Teach, Guide, Befriend foes, and Try. Notice that no where on that list is prove to others that we have more than them or are better than them. It is hard, nobody said that it wasn't going to be. And we have to get it all done "Before the Time Runs Out" And I think that this is good enough reason to dance, sing, and be happy so do that to this song:

Yummy Breakfast Ideas

I have been loving getting up and adding making a really good and delishish breakfast for my self. You know what they say


But truthfully I eat Dinner like a King too!

So some of the things that I have been enjoying for breakfast include:

  2. French Toast &
  3. Biscuits
And I will be putting out recipes for those over the next three Thursdays!

Mid Fall Haul

In the first week of the month I ordered a bunch of clothes, okay it was only about, seven things, but I must still satisfy my shopping crave the once in a while it comes up insistence I feel like I have NOTHING to wear. I have gotten good about shopping in my closet, but I really needed to find some new pieces. Here is what I got!

L.L. BEAN
My family and I have bean shopping there since we were little, so and I had never ordered their French Sailor Shirt, and I love anything striped so I did in the Turquoise/Cream colour. I knew it would be a good buy since it has bean around for a long time and it was in 'Real Simple Magazine' in March 2013. 

GAP (OR IS IT 'THE GAP') & OLD NAVY
This is another family favourite of our's they have great staple items so I order four things from them. I like that they are sister stores so it is one less order to make! I know that there stuff will fit and look good so I have no hesitations ordering from their stores. I ordered the Circle-Hem Elbow- Patch cardigan from Gap I got it in Cashew Crunch it is the perfect color combo around. 
I also got the plain white button down from Old Navy this is a important staple piece that I have not had in so long (just ask my sister).
I got this plain oatmeal colored tee, since I have bean craving comfort lately and I love the zipper detail on the back. 
The last thing that I ordered from Old Navy was the Diva pant I picked this out since it is like the lower priced J.Crew Minnie pant, I actually think I like the Old Navy version  more. They are carbon coloured, which is in between black and navy. I hope that they fit though!

TARGET
I feel like I am really missing out, until about a week ago I never knew the hidden jems of Target, so I ordered a REALLY cute pair of Leopard print flats, and a Little Black Dress (LBD). The shoes are just simple and as Leah and Mary say the neutral of the Jungle. I ordered a 8.5 (my normal shoe size) and hope they fit!

This dress can be dressed up or down, to church with pearls, and to school with a cardigan and leggings, I can even wear the flats with it. And you will never guess the price, $9.98 (it is on super clearance!) also if you don't want black they have: Deep Berry, Grape Manor, Green Curacao, Osage Orange, Tool Gray, and Xavier Navy.

Goals Up To Date

THE GOALS
  1. Wear my hair natural at least once a week.
  2. Write longer blog posts: You really can tell that I am writing them in a hurry/
  3. Write blog posts sooner: so there are no more last weeks :(
  4. Plan outfits out before hand: mo more chaos here!
  5. Drink more water: I want to drink 8 cups a day. 
  6. Exercise once a day: Now that I got the okay to!
  7. Make my bed each day.
  8. Be a more gentle.
  9. Do 3 random acts of kindness each day.
  10. Spend more time with my Mom. 

UP DATE No. 1
  1. All last week I proudly wore my hair natural. 
  2. I certainly feel like my post are longer, except last Friday's.
  3. I have been planing ahead with my posts, except last Friday that is why it was so short.
  4. I am at least planning them the night before, but I want to do so sooner.
  5. I am actually drinking less water than before! Need to fix that!
  6. I am doing about every other day, still better than before though!
  7. I a great at this one, and loving getting into a fresh bed each night!
  8. I am really trying on this one. 
  9. I am so happy to do this!
  10. I love having any extra reason to spend time with my Mummy!!!!!

This is not by any stretch what it looked like, but it did snow and that made my week and it is always good to dream that it looked that good! and it only lasted for a night.

In 20 minutes

For 20 minutes, all of the modern luxuries (except running water) that we have today were useless. We lost power. It was that simple, something took a power line down and we were centered only around ourselves. And those 20 minutes were the most productive of my long weekend. I could of had my Dad help me with our broken Wifi sooner, or pulled out the generator, or gotten my tablet fixed sooner, but none of that crossed my mind, the only pessimistic thought that crossed my optimistic sleepy mind that morning was that I couldn't have eggs and toast for breakfast. I had Cereal. And in those 20 minutes I picked fresh flowers for my room and arraigned them, I feed out neighbors cat, and got about half of my school reading done (I wont tell you the title because it is going to be the next book club book). I think this power outage came at the perfect time, as I (and hopefully you too) am reading 'Riding Shotgun" I got a tiny, tiny glimpse in to how Cig felt, kinda not really.

It's SNOW!!! A Hump Day Happy Special!

After growing up in Toronto Canada, I am used to a ton of snow, but here in North Carolina, it is almost never, that we get snow. So at about 8:10 last night, when my mom and I diagnosed the freezing rain/hail as snow, I was and still am very over whelmed! It has snowed soooo much  Although there is only about a stretched centimeter I am sooooo Happy!!!!

You don't have to watch it today, but watch it sometime soon, I enjoyed this movie so much and I think that you will too. It made me cry and laugh, but mainly cry. This movie is about a man trying to find happiness, and keep his head sane too. The movie is based on a real person, making it even better.

Isabelle's No Commitment Book Club

The first book that we will be reading is by the author Rita Mae Brown, she has written Rubyfruit Jungle, In Her Day, Southern Discomfort, Sudden Death, High Hearts, Bingo, Venus Envy  Dolley, & Starting From Scratch.  She also co-wrote with Sneaky Pie Brown four of the Mrs. Murphy mysteries, Wish You Were Here, Rest in Pieces, Murder at Monticello, and Pay Dirt. But the Book that we will be reading is Riding Shotgun. It is a 341 page book (the perfect length!) I know that this will be a perfect read since my Mom recommended it to me and I cheated and already started it.

This book has many plot twists and urges you to read on! I hope you enjoy it like I am!
